Motown Records shares a very special place in all soul R&B music lovers. Close cousins of Daptones Records, they are renowned for adopting exceptional artists such as Sharon Jones & The Daptones, Nicole Willis and the Soul Investigators, and Lee Field, just to name a few.
Originally from Maryland in the USA, Jalen Ngonda is now living in Liverpool, UK. While listening to this album, you will find that it is timeless. With 11 songs that sound like an artist that came from Motown, t
hese songs could have very well been released in the 70s, but no, 2024 is the magical year for Jalen. The most popular songs on the album are the title song "Come Around And Love Me", "If You Don't Want My Love", and "It Takes A Fool".

The Shindellas

A follow-up to their 2021 album (Hits That Stick Like Grits), Nashville's own The Shindellas continue to amaze us with their extraordinary talent. Fans have been eagerly waiting for this new nine-song gem. The album is called Shindo.
Tamara "Tam" Chauniece, Stacy Johnson, and Kasi Jones are the Shindellas, and they are continuing their brilliant ascension on the musical scene. I can't help but think of The Supremes. Classy, catchy lyrics that will have you singing with the ladies, and you also need to see their crafty, classy videos. My favorite songs on the album are "Up 2 You", "Ohh Lala," "Last Night Was Good For My Soul," A Billboard R&B Chart topping one, and "Kiss And Tell."
They have become part of Weirdo Workshop, a small music company started by the writing and production team Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony, whose credits include Mary J. Blige, Bruno Mars, and Miley Cyrus. Nine songs, including the Billboard R&B chart "Last Night Was Good For My Soul."

For the end of 2023, Will Downing, the prince of sophisticated soul offers us a beautiful Christmas Gift. His 27th Album, 37 years of career, consistent in his art, 7 songs of tasty soul for all your magical evenings. A loyal crowd of fans who know what to expect when Will releases new music. His voice, strong and mellow is soothing for the soul. It was a tragic beginning of the year with the loss of his daughter, a song he wrote for her. Till we meet again, his conversation with Siobhan, his daughter. This last song was nominated Song of the Year by Soul Tracks and also Male Vocalist of the Year. Will received Male Vocalist of The Year for the 7th time, making him the most awarded male vocalist in SoulTracks awards history. Host of his radio show The Wind Down for over 14 years, Will Has decided to concentrate on his music for 2024. Happy listening to this lovely album. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
