Tell me a bit about your background? Who is Stephanie Spruill?


Stephanie Spruill, A Native of Los Angeles, Founder of Spruill House Music, Inc. School of Voice & Artists Development, a Singer/Songwriter, Percussionist, Producer, Motivational Speaker, International Vocal/Dialect coach, Philanthropist & the Author of “17 Points to Longevity in Show Business.” Recipient of The “Living Legend Award” from the city of Los Angeles. Winner of The Global Peace Song Award for her original song “Shine”. A cast member of the NAACP Image Award-winning show “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s.” on Oprah Winfrey’s Network. The Effervescent Entertainer Stephanie Spruill has SOLD OUT Concerts around the globe,1400 recordings and several Grammy Awards, Gold and Platinum albums to her credits. Spruill has toured the world and recorded with Michael Jackson, Julio Iglesias, Glen Campbell, Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Quincy Jones to name a few. Spruill has performed at The White House for 3 separate administrations and with Royalty around the world. On a local level graced the stage of the 87th annual Academy with John Legend and Common singing on the Oscar winning song, "Glory." Stephanie, whose path is her purpose, sums it up best: "It is my mission to reach the world over and touch everyone with all the artistry in me. I have discovered that God and art are the links that bring us closer to our divine purpose."

Performing at the White House for 3 separate occasions


What was your most challenging moment?

On tour while being Married with a young child.

Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Nancy Wilson, Sara Vaughn and Mavis Staples


If you could do a duet and or have someone work with someone in the industry, dead or alive, who would it be?


I have worked with best Julio Iglesias, Glenn Campbell, Elton John, Donald Byrd, Cannonball Adderley. I would love to sing with the Count Basie Orchestra.


What is the last song you listened to by another artist and who are your present favorites?

Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, "In a Sentimental Mood"


What was your most embarrassing moment while performing live or in an interview?

When performing at House and the floor was so slippery and I fell in the White House.

How has Covid 19 affected your career?

Halted my Live Performance Yes! This has been so tough I really miss being with my fans. I miss concert and I miss connecting with people on a one-on-one.


However, being an instructor as well I am blessed to use the internet as a leveler in the sense that I am able to give my quality development classes online without skipping a beat.



Tell us about your current and future projects?

Preparing for my Ted Talk, Expanding my International Brand and presently in the recording studio.

What are your either weird habits or traditions you do while preparing yourself artistically?

Practice, Practice, Practice, workout and, Pray. What advice would you like to give those seeking to be in the entertainment industry? Be Passionate, Be Prepared, Be Confident, Stay Focused and Don’t Give up Give Out or Give in.
